If fiber is on your shortlist for a Boulder house or apartment, check the FCC's National Broadband Map before any provider's sales page. The map shows where internet service is available across the country, as reported by providers in the FCC's ongoing Broadband Data Collection. Enter one address and it lists the providers that report fiber there.

The map has limits. It shows availability, not network performance, affordability or adoption, so it will not tell you a price or the speed you will get on a busy evening. Choice also changes across town: some parts of Boulder have more internet choices than others. Use the map to learn who reports fiber at the address, then confirm with that provider. That order works for renters, owners and CU students checking an address before a lease, a move or a switch.
